Apple TV+ has released a trailer for Dark Matter this week, which is all set to premiere on May 8, 2024. The series is based on the New York Times bestseller, Dark Matter, written by Blake Crouch. 

Apple TV+ new series titled “Dark Matter” is a Sci-fi thriller series divided into nine episodes, and the first episode will be released on May 8th, 2024 with subsequent episodes coming out on every Wednesday until June 26th, 2024.

The story revolves around a man named Jason, who is a physicist and a professor. He is married to the woman of his dreams, Daniela. He is living a great life with his family. Until one night, when he gets abducted by another version of him from the alternate reality.

And that’s when everything changes; he has no idea where he is or where his family is; his whole surroundings are different. All he thinks of is going back to his family and his world, which leads him to dwell on finding answers and a way back to his reality. He learns that the other Jason invented a black box that contains doors, and behind every door there is a new version of reality of his life that he could live.


That’s when the dialogue hits the audience: “The world you’re looking for is a grain of sand on an infinite beach.”


The question is: why would Jason from the alternate reality try to steal only this Jason's life? What could be the motive behind taking such a risk? Out of infinite realities, will Jason be able to find the door that leads to his reality?

To know the answer to all of these questions, we have to wait for the Black Matter series to be released, which is set to be out on Apple TV+ on May 8th, 2024.


The series looks promising when it comes to leaving the audience in awe. The Apple TV+ Sci-fi series has never disappointed, and this series will definitely become the most watched.

The journey of Jason trying to reach his home in his world to save his real family from the worst version of himself.

The role of the physicist is played by Joel Edgerton, the actor who also has worked in great movies like Exodus, The Great Gatsby, Master Gardener, etc.


And Jason’s wife role is played by Jennifer Lynn Connelly, who has won an Oscar for the Best Supporting Actor for her portrayal of Alicia Nash in Ron Howard's biopic A Beautiful Mind (2001).
