To me, three of cups represent joyful moments in the past. Memories with our loved ones, family, and friends. The Hanged Man brings our attention to the current job, tasks, work at hand, and nine of cups as the wish fulfillment and new achievements.
Today, there could be the sharing of new ideas and the gaining of new perspectives about people, situations, and work in general.
Nine of Cups is also indicative of satisfaction, self-focus, and secrecy. I do want to mention that you must maintain secrecy about your life in general. Don't give out too much information, either to those, of course, who you know are gossipers and have a specific motive to connect with you.
The Hanged Man has a similar vibe to watching, understanding, and staying silent. This could also mean how the person in Nine of Cups uses his intuition to attract the right tribe to work with them and reap benefits that are mutual.
One thought for our self-esteem is finding our own value in a group of people. Find who you are. Never let anything diminish your light. This will help others recognize your qualities and values.
