Priyanka Chopra is finally speaking the truth about Bollywood and lobbies that exist to sideline outsiders to promote nepotism.
It’s not old news that Bollywood sidelines outsiders by all means. Be it bullying or threatening them to make them leave either the industry or the world. And just for one thing that is to promote Nepo babies even though they are massive failures.
No wonder why she needed a break and wanted to move to the US.
The issue again has been resurfaced when Priyanka Chopra revealed their dark secrets on a podcast with Dex Shepard.

Not only she exposed the Bollywood lobby that has been operating to kill outsiders careers and chances of growth, she also talked about how “people” sidelined her and were taking away projects from her.
Priyanka exposed disturbing dark secrets of Bollywood.
Priyanka spoke about her journey from her childhood to her career. There was a brief discussion on why she decided to come to the United States and start everything from scratch.
Priyanka elaborated on how she got the idea of singing as well as her 6 movies that didn’t do well which threatened her career in the Industry. She said that she wasn’t a Nepo baby so it makes sense that she didn’t have the kind of support which exists in the Bollywood movie Industry. They have multi-generational families who come and get multiple opportunities vs. the ones that come from outside.
“You don’t have your uncle make a movie because the last one tanked”, this was definitely towards Karan Johar’s favoritism act.
Furthermore; on Bollywood Industry banning her from getting movies:
She said,” I was being pushed into a corner in the Industry. I had people not casting me for reasons. I had beef with people. I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and said I needed a break. And this music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I wanted to get but I would require to schmoose certain clubs and cliques of people. And it would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.
Priyanka Chopra corrects Dax Shepard, RRR is a Tamil movie.
Priyanka corrected Dax that it’s not a Bollywood movie and said it’s a Tamil movie however, got trolled on Twitter for being wrong about RRR being a Tamil movie.
Priyanka said, “That’s a Tamil movie by the way… It’s like a big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those… It's like our Avengers.”
Previously, Jimmy Kimmel called RRR a Bollywood movie even though before Oscars in 2023, SS Rajamouli had said that RRR is a Telugu movie not a Bollywood production.
